On the shores of Dog Lake in the Rideau Lakes, Ontario, Burnt Hills Lodge & Cottages offers affordable cottage rental, with two and three bedroom housekeeping cottages.
We have a boat launch, docks, a fish cleaning station, outside electrical plugs (for boat batteries), rental of fishing boats, motors and a paddle boat. You are also welcome to bring your own water sport toys and “make waves”!
There is lake swimming off the dock and and a public sandy beach close by. From our docks you can set out to explore the waterways in search of many species of fish.
Our shoreline is home to a variety of wildlife including blue heron, beavers, turtles and loons among the reeds & cattails.

We are located just a short drive from the quaint village of Seeley’s Bay, on the heritage Rideau Waterway, where you can find bait and tackle, propane gas, food (including groceries from Sweets’ Freshmart, ice-cream at Nest Egg gift shop, locally roasted coffee from SHaBean and artisan chocolates from Ridgeway Confectionary), ‘a little bit of everything’ from Main Street Hardware, and more.
