Experience Dog Lake on the Rideau Canal System, where everyone has more fun!
The waters of Dog Lake are one of Eastern Ontario’s best-kept secrets.
The area is well suited for boating, fishing and water sports on the natural shoreline of Dog Lake which is part of the historic Rideau Canal System. This National historic waterway is on 203 kilometres (126 miles) of a Canadian Heritage River. You can navigate through Dog Lake’s many connecting rivers, lakes, locks and streams, all of which offer peaceful surroundings brimming with some of the most desirable sport-fish and a strong fish population.
This is one of the premier lakes in Ontario for producing trophy bass and, despite the outstanding fishing, the waters receive relatively light angling pressure.
We encourage catch and release.
Great fishing begins with Burnt Hills Lodge & Cottages!
